It's not just radical environmentalists and random tree-huggers who want the U.S. to bring on the plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) just as soon as possible.
Along with the usual frolic and comedy on last night's "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" there was a guest appearance by an unexpected guest, former Director of Central Intelligence R. James Woolsey.
After establishing his credentials as a regular guy and someone who'd served in both Democratic and Republican administrations, Mr. Woolsey surprised everyone by coming out strongly in favor of an immediate move to plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV), which he said was essential if the U.S. wants to break the stranglehold that oil-producing nations have over the country.
A bit of online research revealed that, just like movie stars who give a taste of their latest film project on Craig's increasingly-popular show so that you'll pay attention to the whole thing, the former CIA director was also touting his own latest project.
To see the whole thing won't require going to a theater, however. All you need to do to access Mr. Woolsey's white paper, engagingly entitled "A Committee on the Present Danger Policy Paper: OIL & SECURITY" on why the U.S. needs to go PHEV and go there now, is to click here.
Popcorn and a soft drink optional.
