The last Paris Hilton hamburger ad, reported on in these pages on May 24th (#1), May 24th (#2), May 25th (#1), May 25th (#2), May 27th, and May 28th, received a lot of attention.

Not content to rest on its laurels, CKE Restaurants, Inc., which owns the Carl’s Jr.®, Hardee’s®, La Salsa Fresh Mexican Grill®, and Green Burrito® restaurant chains, has announced that a second round of Paris Hilton-based luxuryburger imagery is on its way to a television screen near you, if you live in the area served by the Hardee's restaurant chain.

In a June 13, 2005, press release entitled "Hardee's® Heats Things Up With New Spicy BBQ Thickburger™ Topped with Texas Toothpicks™--Spicy Paris Hilton Ad Will Debut in Hardee's Markets June 27,", CKE announced that the same commercial that met with so much attention and controversy when it was used to advertise a Carl's Jr. Spicy BBQ Six Dollar Burger in the those parts of the U.S. served by Carl's Jr. will now, will start running in those U.S. markets served by Hardee's restaurants on June 27, 2005.

This means that fans and critics of Paris Hilton, and fans and critics of her posing as "burger bait," as well as television watchers with no position on either subject, have to wait only 9 more days until they can see the sudsy billionairess washing a Bentley in a revealing black swimsuit and chomping down hard on a Spicy BBQ Thickburger™ (previously, and, in Carl's Jr. areas, still, a Spicy BBQ Six Dollar Burger). The same edgy, envelope-pushing television commercial featuring the scantily-clad billionairess and uber-celebrity Paris Hilton cavorting on and around a Bentley automobile with a lot of suds and a flexible hose with a powerful stream while chowing down on a Carl's Jr. Spicy BBQ Six Dollar Burger will soon be available to television viewers up after 9:00 pm in those parts of the country where CKE Restaurants, Inc. operates under the Hardee's® brand, which means the U.S. Midwest and Southeast.

With a minor change in graphics, this commercial, which has already done yeoman service in support of getting "young, hungry guys" to crave one or more "Carl's Jr. Spicy BBQ Six Dollar Burgers," will now be used to encourage them and others to purchase one or more "Hardee's® Spicy BBQ Thickburgers™."

According to Brad Haley, Executive Vice President of Marketing, CKE Restaurants, Inc., Carl's Jr.'s holding company, the "Carl's Jr. Spicy BBQ Six Dollar Burger" is exactly the same food product as the "Hardee's® Spicy BBQ Thickburger™."

Mr. Haley, who said this during a recorded audio interview with Etopia Media Entertainment News Network on the afternoon of Friday, June 17, 2005, during that interview also said that "I probably have about two [Spicy BBQ Six Dollar Burgers/Thickburgers] a week."

You can hear that, and everything else that Brad Haley, EVP of CKE, Inc., had to say about the impending launch of the second wave of Paris Hilton burger commercials designed to entice customers into Hardee's to order one (or more) Hardee's® Spicy BBQ Thickburgers™" by clicking here.
