no surprises at this awards event

While a great deal of suspense surrounds the March 5, 2006, Academy Awards® ceremonies, everyone already knew who'd be getting the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Scientific and Technical Awards at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills on February 18, 2006.

These Academy Awards® for technical achievements with "a proven track record of continued successful use in the film industry" were announced in a press release on January 10, 2006, which you can access by clicking here.
