Maurice Hinchey, U.S. Representative from the 22nd District of New York
At a press conference on July 13, New York Congressman Maurice Hinchey accused Food and Drug Administration Chief Counsel Daniel Troy of conflict of interest on account of his alleged intervention into "civil suits on behalf of drug and medical device manufacturers that were accused of harming patients who had used their products."
Now, Congressman Hinchey has written to the acting head of the FDA demanding the release of certain documents relating to these cases of alleged intervention.
