"Evan Snyder, Director of the Burnham Institute's Stem Cell and Regeneration program, provides an introduction to the world of stem cells," Dr. Snyder outlined some basic information about the not-yet prominent field of human embryonic stem cell research.
On December 14, 2005, in an interview published as part of an
Etopia Media Medical News Network article entitled
"Dr. Evan Snyder, Director of Stem Cell Research at the Burnham Institute, says that the controversy swirling around the South Korean lab of Dr. Hwang Woo-Suk 'slows us up' and that the race to be the first to successfully produce customized human stem cells may be on again," Dr. Snyder talked about the then-unfolding scandal involving South Korean veterinarian Hwang Woo-Suk's claims regarding breakthroughs in human embryonic stem cell research.

Yesterday, on January 7, 2006, Dr. Snyder returned to
Etopia Media News Networks to update various aspects of the scandal that recently engulfed South Korean stem cell research Hwang, to talk in some detail about other stem cell research, and to call for the release of the $3 billion approved by California voters in the November 2, 2004, election that passed Proposition 71.
