Zapitall's Trans-Eliminator™ for the UVC-based destruction of DNA-based micro-organisms

In a recent article, which appeared two days ago on the Etopia Media Medical News Network web site, some basic information about three new methods for combating the now-epidemic (in Quebec, Canada) and increasingly-virulent bacterium Clostridium difficile (also known as C. difficile and also C. diff.) was provided.

This article features an exclusive audio interview with Steven Millikin, an inventor and businessperson in New Brunswick, Canada, whose company, Zapitall Inc. is now offering a line of products that use UVC (a type of ultraviolet radiation) to disinfect items that may be harboring, not only the C. diff. bacterium, but other and all DNA-based micro-organisms, such as SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome), anthrax, avian bird flu<.a>, CJD (Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease), and hoof and mouth disease.

As explained by Mr. Millikin during this interview, the UVC radiation destroys microbes by breaking the chemical bonds holding the DNA within them apart, thereby rendering the organism as useless biologically as a house would be for shelter were its supporting structure to be pulled apart.

UVC cannot be used against pathogens inside human bodies, since it would wreck similar havoc on the DNA in healthy cells, causing serious damage, but it can be used effectively on surfaces, instruments, and other inanimate items that might be harboring these dangerous carriers of disease.

Because it isn't intended for use directly on humans, the various devices in which the Zapitall technology is housed do not need to receive approval as "safe and effective" from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the U.K.'s Medicines and Health Products Regulatory Agency, or the equivalent Canadian agency.

According to Mr. Millikin, however, the Zapitall devices have been approved as safe by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and Underwriters Laboratories, the processes used to manufacture them have been approved by the International Organization for Standardization, and the company is preparing to submit them to the appropriate medical regulatory agencies as well.

Zapitall's patent-pending "shadowless" UVC disinfecting technology is implemented in several forms, including the Zapitall Trans-Eliminator™, the Zapitall Broom™, and the Zapitall Pure Light Stick™.

When its development is completed, these pieces of equipment will be joined by the Zapitall ZapMobile™.
