White House spokesman David Almacy this afternoon told American Politics Today that the President has signed the Congressional legislation containing the REAL ID Act of 2005.

This bill, H.R. 1268, a conference report whose full title is "Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act for Defense, the Global War on Terror, and Tsunami Relief, 2005," was passed unanimously by the U.S. Senate yesterday and, with the President's signature today, is now the law of the land.
H.R. 1268 incorporates within it the REAL ID Act of 2005, sponsored by Wisconsin Congressman F. James Sensenbrenner, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee.
