Dana Rohrabacher, U.S. Representative from California's 46th Congressional District

California Congressman Dana Rohrbacher, who represents Huntington Beach and other communities in that state's 46th Congressional District, has introduced House Joint Resolution 104, which would make California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and other foreign-born citizens of 20 years standing eligible to serve as President of the United States.

You can read a short press release announcing the introduction of this proposed Constitutional Amendment, by clicking here.

A major reason behind Mr. Rohrabacher's decision to propose this amendment was his desire to more starkly demarcate the division he wants to establish between "illegal immigrants," whom he believes deserve nothing from the government and "legal immigrants," whom he believes ought to be entitled to everything the country has to offer, including its highest elective office.

You can hear Congressman Rohrabacher's comments on his proposed Constitutional Amendment by clicking here.

Congressman Rohrabacher said that he's heard nothing on his amendment from President George W. Bush, who has, he says, "got some things that are demanding his attention" right now.
