Marietta, Ohio, is a small town in the southeastern part of the state, close to West Virginia. It's annually the host of the Sternwheel Festival, a "Tall Ships"-type event for river boats.

Marietta is also involved in an effort to bring the latest in broadband wireless access to its residents.

Broadband Wireless Access World spoke today with Eric Skorma, IT Director of Marietta, about the Technology Infrastructure Group (TIG) project intended to upgrade its local digital telecommunications base, as well more specifically about the temporary installation of a Wi-Fi network in Marietta during this month's Sternwheel Festival, which was accomplished with help from Insight Public Sector and Pronto Networks.

You can listen to that audio interview with Eric Skorma, IT Director of Marietta, Ohio, in its entirety, by clicking here.
