Robots is a new, digitally-animated feature which opened on film and as digital cinema on March 11, 2005.
Robots was produced for 20th Century Fox by Blue Sky Studios, and stars Ewan McGregor, Halle Berry, Robin Williams, Greg Kinnear, Jennifer Coolidge, Mel Brooks, Amanda Bynes and Drew Carey voicing the film's major characters.

Entertainment Technology World spoke today with Bob Gordon, Vice President of Production at Fox Animation, about the making of
Robots, with a focus on the digital cinema aspects of this totally digitally-created film.

Bob Gordon will be appearing on Monday, April 4, 2005, as the guest speaker in the latest of a series of digital cinema screenings being presented by the
University of Southern California's
Entertainment Technology Center's
Digital Cinema Laboratory, which is housed in the
Hollywood Pacific Theatre at 6433 Hollywood Boulevard, in Hollywood, California.
The featured digital cinema presentation at this event will be 20th Century Fox's
Robots.
Robots was digitally delivered to and projected at digital cinema-capable theatres by the
Access Digital Media subsidiary of Access Integrated Technologies, Inc. (AccessIT), "which provided digital content management and secure delivery of the film, via satellite, to 16 AccessIT digitally equipped theaters across the U.S."
