Kurt Schwenk, General Manager, Digital Cinema Division, NEC Solutions (America) (NECSAM)

In a March 24, 2005, Entertainment Technology World (ETW) article entitled "Kurt Schwenk, Director, Media Solutions, NEC Solutions (America), Inc., talks about digital cinema," Mr. Schwenk, now General Manager of NECSAM's Digital Cinema Division, provided listeners with a comprehensive and detailed account of the then-state-of-the-art in the newly-emerging digital cinema platform for the distribution and exhibition of motion pictures.

Today ETW spoke again with the Hollywood-based technologist about recent developments in the deployment of this advanced entertainment technology, including the recent announcement by the Digital Cinema Initiative, LLC, of its "Final Overall System Requirements and Specifications for Digital Cinema," which will provide a standardized basis for the deployment of this technology by studios and exhibitors.

You can listen to that conversation with Kurt Schwenk, General Manager of the Digital Cinema Division at NEC Solutions (America), in its entirety, by clicking here.
