Scott Lomond is President and Chief Operating Officer of Berkeley, California-based SightSpeed, a leading provider of videoconferencing software designed to keep families in visual touch with each other and help small business improve their internal and external communications.

Entertainment Technology World spoke today with Mr. Lomond in Berkeley today, during which conversation he talked about the impending (8:30 pm to 11:30 pm tonight, February 7, 2006) upgrade of the existing SightSpeed 4.0 to SightSpeed 4.5, which upgrade will provide enhanced community access to a global base of SightSpeed users, new capabilities for bloggers and others to produce and stream their own videos from SightSpeed servers, and an improved user interface.
