Mr. Spiegel spoke today with ViewersChoice.org to provide some background and explanation about the concept of "net neutrality," and how the need for it as a guiding principle of Internet operations arose when Verizon took over MCI and SBC took over AT&T, creating entities that control both the "last mile" and the "backbone" of the Internet.
