Leo Gerard talks about human rights in China

Leo Gerard is the International President of the “new United Steelworkers (USW) — officially the United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial and Service Workers International Union — the largest industrial union in North America and the dominant union in paper, forestry products, steel, aluminum, tire and rubber, mining, glass, chemicals, petroleum and other basic resource industries, in addition to a growing membership of more than 130,000 members in the service sector.”

Mr. Gerard spoke today with Human Rights Channel reporter Marc Strassman about the human rights situation in the People‘s Republic of China and the effect that the lack of human rights there has on workers in the United States.
