Oliver Friedrichs is director of emerging technologies in Symantec Security Response, the organization responsible for the delivery of AntiVirus definitions, intrusion detection updates, and early warning technologies within Symantec.

Mr. Friedrichs spoke this afternoon with Etopia News‘s Internet Security Channel reporter Marc Strassman about the recent denial-of-service (DoS) cyber attacks against government and media web sites in the Baltic republic of Estonia and about the overall threat from the “botnets” that have been implicated in those attacks.
