impeachment organizer Linda Boyd, direct from the Capitol in Olympia, Washington
Linda Boyd is a State of Washington-based activist who works tirelessly to peacefully remove George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney from offices they acceded to after each swore that "I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States," through her work with the Bellevue Impeach Bush Meetup Group, the Eastside Fellowship of Reconciliation, and "Washington to Impeach."
As part of her efforts in this regard, Ms. Boyd today attended, and addressed, a 1 pm PST rally on the steps of the Washington State Capitol in Olympia in support of Senate Joint Memorial 8016 (SJM 8016), a bill introduced by newly-elected State Senator Eric Oemig, which calls for the Washington State legislature to petition the U.S. House of Representatives to begin an impeachment investigation of George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney, under a procedure set forth in Rule 603 of Declaration of Independence author and former U.S. President Thomas Jefferson in his book of parliamentary practice for that body.
Afterwards, she attended a very packed hearing on this bill in the State Senate's Government Operations and Elections Committee. As that event broke up, she spoke to the Impeachment Channel about what happened at the meeting and about the future of SJM 8016.
