David Swanson is a co-founder of AfterDowningStreet.org, a leading organization and web site helping to organize the impeachment of George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney for numerous violations of the oaths they took to preserve and protect the Constitution of the United States.

Mr. Swanson spoke this morning (Los Angeles)/afternoon (Washington, D.C.) with the Impeachment Channel about both the immorality and impracticality of efforts by the Democratic congressional leadership to oppose the movement to end the Iraq War by impeaching its chief architects on the basis of what these politicians perceive, in Mr. Swanson's view, incorrectly, as a political advantage that will accrue to their party and themselves personality by allowing this war and the death and destruction it is generating to continue until the 2008 elections.
