Charles D. Ferguson, a Fellow for Science and Technology at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) (“A Nonpartisan Resource for Information and Analysis”), is an expert on nuclear nonproliferation; nuclear and radiological terrorism; prevention and response; and U.S. and international nuclear policies and the author of the Council Special Report, Preventing Catastrophic Nuclear Terrorism and a newly-released publication based on work he’s been doing for the Council Special Report: Balancing the Benefits and Risks of U.S. Nuclear Energy Policy.

Charles Ferguson spoke today with Nuclear Power Channel reporter Marc Strassman on a wide range of nuclear issues, including the recent U.S.-India agreement on nuclear co-operation, Iran’s nuclear policies, Arab nuclear policy in light of these, control of the nuclear fuel cycle, forms of nuclear terrorism, and optimal energy strategies for the reduction of greenhouse gases.
