Randy Vanderhoof, Executive Director, Smart Card Alliance
Randy Vanderhoof is the Executive Director of the Smart Card Alliance, based in Princeton Junction, New Jersey.
The Smart Card Alliance is, in its own words: "a not-for profit, multi-industry association working to accelerate the widespread acceptance of multiple application smart card technology."
Smart Card World spoke today with Mr. Vanderhoof about the new "contactless payment" method now being deployed by credit and debit card issuers and the merchants that accept these cards, with the encouragement, coordination, and educational outreach provided by the newly-established Contactless Payment Council.
