Rich Grimes is Executive Vice President and Investment Committee Chair at Wireless Capital Partners, which is based in Santa Monica, California. In October, 2004, he was appointed by Los Angeles Mayor James Hahn to the Wi-Fi and Beyond Los Angeles Executive Advisory Panel, which was charged with examining "what role broadband technologies can play in accelerating economic development in the city and how Wi-Fi and 'next generation' wireless technologies can be used to retain and attract businesses to Los Angeles"

Shortly after his appointment to this panel, Mr. Grimes appeared on Unwired LA to talk about the group and its mission. You can listen to his comments in that November 11, 2004, interview by clicking here.

Rich Grimes returned to Unwired LA today to talk about the impact of Mayor Hahn's recently-announced intention to lease space for wireless equipment on "120,000 streetlights, 4,500 traffic signals and 900 buildings" owned by the City of Los Angeles.
